Located in North London, Islington – LuQman Tutors is a unique tutoring initiative aiming to InshaAllaah provide quality and affordable teaching to our Muslim peers. With teachers in the fields of Mathematics, Engineering and Pharmacy respectively, we specialise in the specific subjects highlighted below. At the moment we are only able to cater for our brothers.
– GCSE: Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
– A-Level: Maths and Chemistry
How are the sessions structured?
Classes for a subject will be held once every weekend for a 2 hour session. There will be a maximum of 6 students in a session, as we have found working with others holds many benefits; one of those being that it provides an individual with valuable teamwork skills regarded highly both by employers and universities. Each student will however, be provided with personal 1-2-1 support as required, as well as homework that will be checked and marked inshaAllaah. Our aim is to not only provide understanding of a topic but also prepare each student to undergo their academic exams with confidence and ease, so many lessons will consist of test sessions revolving around past exam papers. Each teacher will progress through a teaching pack containing syllabus material as well as other helpful content. However, each student is encouraged to bring along their own resource books, exercise pads, stationary and scientific calculators.
What else does LuQman Tutors involve?
We want all of our students to aim and obtain the highest both in this life and the next. Therefore, LuQman Tutors aims to provide it’s students with reminders of their final exam and true goal, that being Paradise. After each session a short Naseeha (sincere piece of advice) will be provided encouraging one to pray, have good conduct with parents and the like. Surely all success lies in the hands of Allaah. Group trips such as go-karting and paintballing will also be organised after exams to give students a ‘break’ from the stress. Furthermore, light snacks and fresh water will also be provided during sessions to boost energy!
How much do you charge?
We want to make this as affordable as possible InshaAllaah, so the cost is only £10 for a whole 2 hour session!
