MashaAllaah I can't agree more – all I know is that he has appearances on Huda tv hosting a great tv programme on manners, I've only ever heard hi recitations on there.
Iam sure these shows can be found on utube if not on huda tv's own website. Allahu 'Alam

ok final final question [for now, insha'allah], sheikh luhaydaan's 'esha, which surah/ayaat did he cover in the first rak'ah? i partially missed it [not that i would've known]. the second was surah al imraan las verses btw, i think he stopped at 195? a reward from allah, and with allah are the best rewards. i think. and allah knows best.

I heard, and I could be wrong, and I hope I am wrong… that after 'Isha, he gave the brothers a short talk/naseeha which was translated? Hence the lengthy gap between 'isha and commencing with the AD.

were their talks after ishaa on repentance/turning to allah – sheikh olayan [cnt say his name for the life of me], and the qur'aan – sheikh luhaydaan?
if so, umm i they've been round other places too and insha'allah the recordings will go up. will let you knw when i knw insha'allah.

To clarify, the short nasiha which was given was not specifically to brothers but congregation after salaah.

sheikh luhyadaan did a talk on the qur'aan elsewhere and he was going through some of the miracles of the qur'aan. i will briefly mention a couple for your benefit insha'allah, and we ask allah [swt] to increase us in our attachment and love for the qur'aan, and to reward the sheikh with firdous al 'ala. aameen.
bismillah
1) with regard to the qur'aan being a cure, he hafidhahullah mentioned the story of sheikh olayan no less, and he said how the sheikh was sufferin from an ailment which stopped him from performing sujood. subhan'allah the sheikh was no longer able to perform sujood! and this reached the scholars, and one of them recited qur'aan over some olive oil, and this was then presented to sheikh olayan. he performed masah [wiped] the oil on his face, and subhan'allah, how great is allah! for when the next prayer came sheikh olayan was able to perform sujood! allahu akbar! the sheikh was present at the event and sheikh luhaydaan asked him to confirm if this was correct, and he confirmed that this was indeed true. subhan'allah.
2) he mentioned how allah has created us with perfection. and he presented the ayah of surah teen as proof; where allah [swt] says, "verily, we have created man with the best stature." the sheikh mentioned how up until a year ago, removing the appendix [a common small medical procedure in the abdomen] was easily done, because medically it was understood that the appendix is quite an insignificant part of the body, and so removing it brings no harm. but recently [a year ago, as the sheikh said] it has been discovered that the appendix actually has many great benefits for the body. and this reiterates allah's [swt] statement, in a book, perfect and presented over 1400 years ago, that Allah has created us in the best mould. subhan'allah.
3) final point insha'allah. he spoke with regard to sadness and grief, and he said rahimahullah, that one of the signs of sadness/depression/grief, is that people get cataracts, where a whiteness/cloudiness appears over the eyes. and the proof for this is in the qur'aan, in the story of? c'mon guys i bet you know this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the proof for this is the ayah regarding prophet ya'qoob alayhis salaam, and how his eyes turned white out of grief over yusuf! subhan'Allah!!!!!!!!
isn't it beautiful when you make the link between such a beautiful story which is so full of wonderful lessons to take from, and then you take another lesson from it?! allahu akbar!! the same holds for the ayah in surah kahf btw, where allah [swt] says the people of the cave slept were turned them on their sides. ask a nurse about the need for turning a person on their sides when they're bed bound.
anyway anyway i just wanted to share these with you guys insha'allah, before they leave my memory! i pray they bring benefit, aameen. may allah [swt] reward the shuyookh abundantly and increase us in our knowledge and taqwa, aameen.
