I can’t sleep
When I think about the hereafter, I just weep
I can’t breathe
When I think about the grave, I feel so afraid
I can’t see
When I think about my sins, my soul doesn’t seem so free
I can’t hear
When I think about the punishments, I shudder with fear
I can change
I can repent
I can hope
For Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate will help me cope.
“When the Deafening Blast comes, the Day a man will flee from his brother and mother and his father, and his wife and his children: on that Day every man among them will have concerns enough of his own.” [Al-‘Abasa: 33-37]
