What follows below is one out of the many supplications to recite when you wake up from sleep. Memorise the du’a and then wake up every day and thank Allaah Jalla wa ‘ala for giving you life. To help you memorise repeat the du’a after the reciter.
Alhamdu lillahil-lathee ahyaanaa ba’da maa amatanaa wa ilayhin-nushoor
“Praise is to Allaah, who gives us life after He has caused us to die, and to Him is the return.” 1
